The acting Director General of the National Identity Management Commission, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote says having an identity is not only a privilege but a fundamental right for every Nigerian.

Engr Coker-Odusote disclosed this in her remarks to journalists at the National Identity Day celebration in Abuja on Saturday.

She stated that the Commission is committed to surpassing its 100 million National Identity Number, NIN, enrolment database.

“We firmly believe that access to a reliable identity is not a privilege but a fundamental right. It serves as the cornerstone for building a more inclusive, secure, and prosperous society.
