MT Scholarships proudly celebrates Dr. Ademola Adesokan on his appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Central Arkansas in 2025; a significant milestone in an outstanding academic and professional journey.
Dr. Ademola earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, graduating with First-Class Honors and an exceptional CGPA of 4.83/5.00. He subsequently pursued a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
A defining highlight of his academic career was completing his PhD in Computer Science at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in just two and a half years. An Oyo State indigene, Dr. Adesokan emerged as the first graduate of the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Doctoral Fellows Program. He was also awarded the prestigious Kummer Doctoral Achievement Award and Medal in recognition of his exceptional scholarly performance.
Central to his doctoral research is DisFact, an automated system designed to identify, verify, and route critical disaster-related information to relevant agencies, helping to reduce misinformation and improve response times during emergencies. This innovation earned him the National Science Foundation (NSF) Spirit of I-Corps Award in 2024.
