As a mark of recognition for fostering  industrial harmony and workers welfare in the Board, the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS) has conferred Fellow of National Labour Institute (FNLI)on the Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.In the same vein, MINILS also conferred its prestigious FNLI on the Director of Human Resources, Mr. Mohammed Sule Shehu, while that of Associate Member was conferred on  one of the Board’s drivers, Mr. Alabi Abiodun, of the General Services Department. Other recipients of the FNLI included the Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Amshi Ahmed Kadi; Executive Vice Chairman, National Communications Commission (NCC), Prof.Umar Garba Danbatta; Mr. Usman Mala (NCC); the Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Mele Kyari, and the Chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr. Muheeba Dankaka.The Director-General, MINILS, Dr. Isa Aremu, at an investiture ceremony held on Friday, 8th September, 2023, at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Mambilla Baracks, Asokoro, said the awardees were selected from institutions that had added value to the course of national development and productivity.According to him, the listed agencies have made significant inroads in their various fields stating that the labour  institute is not only celebrating the awardees but also the institutions they represented. Comrade Aremu, while commending JAMB, pointed out that he was among those generations of undergraduates who got their letters of admission certified by JAMB. He noted that the narrative of the Board under Prof. Oloyede has changed for the better on account of the series of innovations he had brought to bear in the management of the Board. The MINILS boss chronicled the metamorphosis of the institute from its formative stage to its current status pointing out that the institute was empowered to grant academic and professional awards, as well as honour persons, who have made significant contributions to industrial peace and harmony in the country. Dr. Aremu, who tagged the awardees as “40th Anniversary Awardees” urged the recipients to continue with the good work they are doing, pay their workers well, prioritise training and capacity building, all of which he said, are crucial to the task of enhancing efficiency of labour and quality service delivery. In his goodwill message, the Registrar represented on the occasion by the Director of Human Resources, Mr. Mohammad Sule Shehu, stressed the importance of partnering and networking with the institute. He equally reiterated the committment of the Board to staff welfare, industrial harmony, and inclusivity, which he said underscored the nomination of one of the Board’s drivers as one of the awardees
