Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford does not want to make a permanent move to Aston Villa and is holding out for a transfer to Barcelona, according to reports.
After being frozen out of United’s first-team by Ruben Amorim, Rashford was allowed to join Villa on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old has impressed since joining Unai Emery’s side, with four goals and five assists in 17 appearances.
Villa have the option to sign Rashford for £40 million this summer, but The Mirror reports that he does not want to re-sign for Emery’s side in the upcoming transfer window.
It’s understood that Rashford has made Barcelona his preferred destination and the forward is even willing to take a pay cut in order to join the La Liga leaders.

Rashford is currently earning £350,000-a-week and that would be a stumbling block, however, the England international aware he has no future at United while Amorim remains in charge and is ready to reach a compromise.
Rashford is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and he was absent for Villa’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend.
He could now miss the remaining four games of Villa’s Premier League season.
Barcelona, meanwhile, could face difficulty in signing Rashford this summer as the Catalan club have struggled to meet La Liga’s financial fair play (FFP) regulations.
Earlier this season, Barca faced the prospect of being unable to register Dani Olmo, a £51m signing from RB Leipzig last summer, and striker Pau Victor, who joined from Girona last year.
Barca have claimed that the €100m (£83m) sale of VIP boxes at the Camp Nou will allow them to meet La Liga’s FFP criteria but the league is now questioning that transaction.
