Manchester United are considering a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports.

United are in the market to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who is still looking to leave Old Trafford in January after failing to find another club in the summer.

Ronaldo’s contract with United expires at the end of the season, meaning that the club have already begun preparations to bring in a new forward.

The Telegraph reports that United have made the signing of a new striker their priority and a new No.9 will be their next major arrival.

The report claims that Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko is one of the strikers at the top of United’s shortlist and the 19-year-old is ‘widely admired’ among United’s hierarchy.

In August, Sesko signed a deal to join RB Leipzig at the end of the season in a €24 million (£20.3m) move, and The Telegraph report that United are ‘willing to play the long game’ with the Slovenia international.

United, therefore, are considering alternatives to Sesko and Vlahovic is one of the strikers on their radar.

The Serbia international was one of Arsenal’s top targets at the end of last year but he ended up making the move to Juventus in a £66.6m deal.

Despite only being at Juve for almost 12 months, United believe a deal could be possible if the Italian club miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League.

United are also in the market for a new right-back, despite the promising performances of Diogo Dalot this season.

The Portugal international has cemented his position as Erik ten Hag’s first-choice right-back, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is yet to start for United this season.
