The decision to suspend the boycott was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Ahmed Abba and its Secretary Michael Oshomah and made available to Newspot on Tuesday in Damaturu.

“Following the earlier boycott notice issued to Yobe State Government concerning our operations in the state, the leadership of the Correspondents’ chapel met with the chief of staff to Governor Mai Mala Buni, Abdullahi Yusuf Gashu’a, where far-reaching decisions were taken to resolve the issues”, the statement said.

The statement added that the Chapel in its congress meeting agreed to suspend the boycott of government activities due to the commitment exhibited by the state government officials.
