Job description: Our Client, one of the top ten (10) leading National Supermarket Chains in Nigeria with diversified Consumer Goods, Retail, Quick Service Restaurants, Entertainment and Manufacturing is looking to fill the position of Warehouse Auditor.

Job Description

• Perform process based and follow up audits that focuses on identifying risks within warehouse processes.
• Apply data analytics approaches to drive warehouse efficiencies, assess and monitor risks, develop audit plans, build and analyze hypotheses to solve complex warehouse problems
• Eliminate redundant warehouse audit processes and introduce best practices and innovative means to carry out effective appraisals of the warehouse Operations
• Responsible for auditing the daily inbound, outbound flow and warehouse using paperwork; verifying documentation against incoming and outgoing deliveries, validate counts, verify item description and identify document discrepancies.
• Maintain and report discrepancies found during receiving, stocking, order picking or distribution such as items counts and description.
• Perform product inspections to determine if products meet established specifications. This includes identifying product as well as sorting through products to determine if products are good so it can go to the supermarket for sale.
• Receive and verify incoming raw materials and incoming and outgoing full goods; ensure all materials and products are in good condition (e.g, no damaged goods, no out of date and or leaking products)
• Ensure adherence to warehouse Standard Operating Procedures and perform the ethical audit for warehouse staff.
• Ensure that the correct vehicles are loaded with the correct products according to the Organisation’s established standards.
• Take part in annual stock-taking exercise; accurately count raw materials and other goods according to established standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
• Notable experience in warehouse and inventory audits.
• 5 – 8 years’ experience as an internal auditor.
• Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Financial Services Auditor, or similar certification preferred
• Experience in an FMCG warehouse will be an added advantage
• Strong planning and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Strong ability to work individually or in a team setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
