KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Analysis
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential trade opportunities, market trends, and challenges in the [Host Country].
Provide strategic insights and analysis on key industries, regulatory frameworks, and economic conditions affecting bilateral trade relations.
Trade Promotion
Develop and implement trade promotion strategies to facilitate the export of [Home Country] goods and services in the [Host Country].
Collaborate with local businesses and industry associations to promote trade events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Policy Advocacy
Monitor and analyze trade policies, tariffs, and regulations in the [Host Country].
Advocate for favorable trade policies that benefit [Home Country] businesses and address trade barriers.
Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, trade organizations, and government agencies in both [Home Country] and [Host Country].
Provide advisory services to [Home Country] companies seeking to enter or expand in the [Host Country] market.
Trade Facilitation
Assist in resolving trade-related issues and challenges faced by [Home Country] businesses in the [Host Country].

Networking and Partnerships

Reporting and Documentation
Prepare detailed reports on trade trends, market developments, and the impact of trade policies.
Maintain accurate records of trade-related activities and contribute to regular updates for senior management.
Prepare trade briefings, trade statistics, and identify a pipeline of future opportunities to include in annual business planning
COMPETENCY AND TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIRMENTS
Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Good interpersonal and networking skills and comfortable dealing with high level officials and contacts.
Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines.
Resourcefulness in solving problems; flexible team player.
Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail.
Ability to set and meet own priorities and work with limited supervision.
Professionalism and sound judgment with a strong work ethic
Fluent in at least two languages, including English
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diplomatic setting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certifications in commodity trading and financial management are essential
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Proven experience in international trade, trade promotion, or economic development.
Expert knowledge of international trade laws, policies, regulations, and business practices in both [Home Country] and [Host Country].
Experience in managing import/export procedures and documentation.
Experience working with a diplomatic mission or international organization.
