Job Description
Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for marketing all the institutions’ products and services, targeting of clients, business analysis, decision making, disbursement of loans, collection of repayments, monitoring and recovery of the target group assigned to him/her with a specific focus on lending to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) while following all the institution’s standards, policies and procedures
Key Accountabilities:
- Through field contact undertake marketing / sales and encourage new potential clients to seek Clients financial services in the assigned zone within the branch area with the goal of achieving targets set for lending, deposits, portfolio PAR etc. as assigned.
- Deliver excellent customer service, respecting response times in each step and case.
- Take full responsibility for the assigned customer portfolio and all disbursed loans.
- Be able to explain all the institution’s products, services, prices, conditions and fees clearly to clients.
- Train and provide follow-up assistance to customers on business plans, business visits, loan application forms and other necessary loan processing and delivery documents; ensure all necessary documents are verified.

Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity:
- Ability to meet targets – Highly motivated self-starter who can operate well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify risks in customer’s businesses and proactively work on mitigating the risks.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail coupled with the ability to decide if a certain customer is worth pursuing or not.
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
- A degree in any business studies.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in at least one local language in addition to English. Able to build relationships built on trust.
- Good selling and negotiation skills.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in SME lending in the Microfinance space.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, especially excel.
- Strong customer experience focus.
- Sound business sense, and entrepreneurial understanding.
Remuneration:
- N350,000 – N500,000
