Job description: Zenith Carex was incorporated on 1st November 2002 under the 1968 Companies Acts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under registration RC 465 705. We have, in line with our vision, already taken a frontline position in the air express industry in less than a decade since our commencement of operations. We have cut a niche as the air express company that can depend upon not only to keep with the terms of our services but more often to exceed customers’ expectations.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Data and Report Analyst

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time


Job Description

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop andimplementdatabases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquiredata from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports
  • Create business reports that provide insight into key data points
  • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers
  • Work with management toprioritizebusiness and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department
  • Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy
  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout
  • Support various departments, including marketing and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis
  • Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends


  • At least 5 years of experience as a financial or business analyst
  • Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
  • Experience in SAP, object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow

2.) Port Clearing Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The candidate should be very conversant with customs tariff act, clearing and forwarding procedures, and clearance of goods at Airports and Seaports.
  • Obtain accurate Check List and check all documents to avoid errors, identify missing documents, and/or identify potential issues. Opening of form M / LC Application to import.
  • Administering import procedures and documentation and effective liaison with Nigerian Customs / Logistics.
  • Managing demurrages, port charges within specified norms.
  • Managing the seamless movement of the consignments to the destination.
  • Handling timely order execution & documentation like Pre & Post shipment documents.
  • Manage customs documentation for clearing and forwarding.
  • Liaising with accredited clearing agent for the clearing of goods at destination Apapa, Tin can island, and airport as the case may be.
  • Liaising with the shipping company on all issues with consignment.
  • Liaising with Port authorities & customs officials, monitoring compliance to regulatory requirements, and maintaining requisite papers & documents.
  • Coordinating with Port Authorities for various requirements connected to the vessels handling at the ports.
  • Renewal of relevant licenses for all company imported listed items and should be conversant to the procedures
  • Any other assignment that may be given from time to time by superior officers.
  • Manage customs documentation for clearing and forwarding.
  • Renewal of relevant licenses (should be conversant to the procedures).
  • Should have a proffessional knowledge of Airwaybills and Bill of Ladings.
  • Candidate should clear consignment within a limited period of time.
  • To get duty assessment in one day after Pre- Arrival Assessment Report PAAR and rotation number is allotted.
  • To follow up with approved clearing agents to ensure timely clearance.
  • To apply and get refunds shipping & container deposits etc.
  • To be able to organize fast track clearing for the group.
  • To prepare daily progress report and send to Head Office before the close of the business.
  • To negotiate best freight rates with the airlines to cover the interest of clients.
  • Provide client support and handle client communications effectively.
  • Build connections on behalf of the company.
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.


  • B.Sc / HND in Business Administration or any related course.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in related field.
  • Proficiency in port and sea clearance process.
  • Strategic Thinking.
  • Must have appropriate knowledge of inspection agents, Banks, shipping companies, and Terminals.
  • Proficiency in international documentation, LC, Shipping processes, bill of lading.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Speed.
  • Interpersonal Relationship skills.
  • Accountability.
  • Must have knowledge of the customs and Excise HS Code and Explanatory notes.
  • Previous experience working with customs brokers, forwarders, and international partners.

3.) Accountant

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • Auditing and analysing financial performance.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Publish financial statements in time.
  • Examining expenses submitted by employees.
  • Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow.
  • Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
  • Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.


  • Masters / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience.
  • You should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
