1.) Production Supervisor

Job Description

  • We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to deliver the shift / line objectives by empowering and engage people to develop their capability and ways of working through NCE implementation.
  • Ensure line (shift) production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental needs (strive towards Manufacturing Excellence).

Responsibilities
A day in the life of the Production Supervisor:

  • Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment. Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures (e.g PPE, shoe change & hand wash, LOTO, etc.).
  • Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions (compliance). Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance with Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP).
  • Manage Production effectively through operational reviews (SHO, SOR, DOR) and use Standard Routines (SDCA) to ensure sustainable results. Use of Basic Problem-Solving tools and knowledge sharing (OPLs) to drive continuous improvements.
  • Ensure the identified development plan and assure the competencies of his/her team (incl. Temporary people) as per the agreed plan with Production Manager (proper training inc. equipment, safety procedures, hygiene).
  • Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives on the line).

What Will Make You Successful?

  • B.Sc / HND in Food Science / Technology, Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering, and other related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a functional role in food industry/ FCMG.
  • Experience in managing and engaging / motivating people.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft office suits and problem-solving certification (minimum Green Belt) will be added advantage.

2.) Maintenance & Improvement Supervisor

Job Location: Flowergate Factory, Sagamu – Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • We are currently looking for a Maintenance & Improvement Supervisor to Ensure that all maintenance activities enhance people’s and product’s safety, product quality, protection of the environment and Operations performance, by providing engineering professional and technical leadership to the maintenance function (TPM-PM) in the factory.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of the Maintenance & Improvement Supervisor:

  • Maintenance & Improvement: Enable high performance Operations, providing assets’ Maintenance according to the Nestlé Strategy (using TPM as the multi-disciplined approach to maintain/improve fixed assets, and AMM to manage their life cycle). Support and contribute to have a proper technical store management.
  • Budget Management: Built the maintenance budget (zero base), ensuring justification, request, implementation, reporting and tracking in line with Guidelines.
  • E&A /MES: Ensure that the maintenance of electrical services, performance of automation and MES at factory site level, are in line with the Production requirements.
  • Industrial Services: Ensure that the needs of the factory are fulfilled, as per Production requirements. That all utilities that come or may come in contact with product are treated according to the acceptance food safety criteria for product/processes.
  • Energy/Water/SHE Management: Ensure optimum energy/water consumption at factory level, by implementing proper M&I activities to the factory assets and respecting SHE policies. Manage accordingly NEMT and NEST.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • B.Sc / HND in Engineering, and other related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry (as Engineer Supervisor, Industrial Services, M&I or E&A/MES Engineer, or other similar positions).
  • Recommendation to have participated in a M&I and/or Factory Engineering College
  • Participation in the development of small engineering improvement projects, defining technical equipment (for Production and/or Industrial Services) as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies, and both, the mechanical and E&A areas).
  • Participation in the start-up or commissioning of technical equipment and/or production line(s) (preferably including industrial services supply).
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams aiming to process or packing optimization.
  • Fixed Assets Maintenance responsibilities, including the preparation, definition, control and follow up of maintenance budgets (preferably including exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution).
  • Personnel Supervisory experience (with technical teams, Mechanical and Electrical (contractors, suppliers or other 3rd parties).
  • Work following defined indicators/Objectives, and proactively tracking them.
