Job Overview

Establish a generative Environment, Health & Safety Culture within the organization through the promotion, management and maintenance of the

Environment, Health & Safety Policy, System and Guidelines; compliance and adherence to all the applicable local laws; providing expert advice on all related health & safety issues; and contribute in achieving the objectives.

Guarantee that the Environment, Health & Safety Management System is applied as per existing ISO Standards

Job Responsibilities:

Environment,Safety & Health Policies & Guidelines/Best Practices

  • Communicate clearly on information relating to potentially dangerous situations and get confirmation that they are correctly understood.
  • Make sure that key equipment is working properly.
  • Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment where appropriate.
  • Check for safety and cleanness in the workplace.
  • Ensure that all members of staff are properly trained in emergency procedures and maintain a training/re training program in order to ensure that all members of staff are familiar with procedures at all times.
  • implement and maintain plant Environment, Health & Safety Policies, as per existing ISO guidelines.
  • Participate in any external or intimal audits which may be conducted and co-ordinate the implementation of audit reports.

Risk Management

  • Monitoring Environment, health, and safety risks and hazards in the workplace
  • Participate in accident investigation and make sure all TI (Lost Time Injury) and serious near-misses are fully investigated, closed-out and

risk Management suitably communicated.

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify all possible risk areas, conduct mock drills as per Emergency Plan
  • Reducing the number of Environment, health and safety incidents to a minimum Compliance
  • Act as liaison between Engee Pet and governmental agencies such as factory inspector, environment, fire brigade and any safety regulatory body.

H&S Training/Coaching

  • Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the Environment, health and safety standards in the workplace
  • Offering general health and safety advice to all employees.
  • Coach, train and enhance the Health & Safety awareness, knowledge and skills of the staff and contractor within the head office and depots in

H&S Training/Coaching equipping them with knowledge to work safely.

  • Provide training on ISO.
  • Participate and advise Project Team on Environment, Health & Safety requirements in design and installation of new and modified facilities and

equipment; and the management of contractors.

Reports

  • Coordinate, monitor, review and prepare reports on Plant, Environment,Health & Safety activities’ implementation, progress and performance

(which include monitoring and analyzing the statistic and trend).

Relationship Management

  • Liaise with the local authorities on matters pertaining to Environment, Health.

Requirements & Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar.

OSHA or similar EHS certification.

A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an EHS coordinator.

Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA

The ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.

Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
