Members of the Islamic State West African Province, ISWAP, have reportedly killed a Boko Haram commander in charge of Sambisa and Gwoza enclaves, Ali Gana Alhaji Ali, on Gwoza Hill, in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to reports, Ali, one of the deadliest terrorist leaders in the Northeast, was killed on Sunday when the ISWAP fighters ambushed him.

A security source told Daily Trust that Ali had killed several victims in Sambisa and some other parts of Borno State, before his death on Sunday.

“He was the deputy of the late Ali Ngulde, and apart from Shekau, nobody killed human beings like him from Sambisa forest and Bayan Dutsen Gwoza.

“He was a crude killer. His foot terrorists in Gwoza areas constantly instil fear in communities, farmers and commuters along Pulka, Bankin, Bama and Gwoza Mubi routes.
