Innovations In 2023 UTME Is To Enhance Credibility, Sanctity Of UTME – Oloyede

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has informed stakeholders that the innovations put in place by the Board for the conduct of the upcoming 2023 UTME were designed to enhance the credibility and the sanctity of its examinations.

The Registrar disclosed this during a virtual meeting with Zonal Directors, State Coordinators, members of management and other critical stakeholders on Tuesday, 28th March, 2023 in preparation for the last UTME mock examination.

According to him, the mock examination was to take stock of all preparations made by the Board and the centres with a view to perfecting strategies for a seamless exercise as well as intimate them on the recent innovations put in place by the Board.
Prof. Oloyede explained that the series of innovations regularly being put in place by the Board were aimed at further enhancing the sanctity of its examination. He disclosed that this year, no examination would be allowed to take place after a given duration of its scheduled examination start time.

Also, any examination that could not take place within that time is automatically rescheduled. He charged the Zonal Directors and State Coordinators to put in their best and ensure that every centre performs at optimal level.

He pointed out that as the highest ranking officials in the outstations, they are expected to guide and superintend over the centres and ensure that everyone is contributing their quota in every schedule they are assigned to
