To formalize the collaboration, Dr. Aliyu further suggested the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ICPC and NCAA. He stated that such synergy could significantly elevate institutional integrity, boost transparency, and foster investor confidence in the Nigerian aviation industry.

Responding, Captain Najomo stated that the visit was a demonstration of NCAA’s commitment to transparency, ethics, and accountability. He requested ICPC’s assistance in strengthening NCAA’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), improving whistleblower protection, and reviewing the agency’s proposed Sector Code of Ethics covering airlines, training centers, and maintenance organizations.

Captain Najomo also highlighted the NCAA’s ongoing digital transformation efforts aimed at automating licensing, certification, and surveillance reporting—initiatives designed to reduce human discretion and enhance traceability across regulatory processes.

The DG reaffirmed NCAA’s alignment with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (2022–2026), noting that the agency is committed to embedding the strategy’s five pillars—prevention, public engagement, ethical reorientation, enforcement, and asset recovery—into every aspect of its operations and ACTU activities.

Both agencies concluded that the collaboration marks a significant step toward a unified front against corruption, fostering institutional integrity and raising the global standing of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
