Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of chairmen and board members for state-owned institutions.
Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs at Government House, Gombe, in a statement said that the new appointments were announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
According to the statement, those appointed include Hajiya Aishatu Jibrin Dukku, Chairman, College of Education and Legal Studies, Nafada; Dr Mohammed Kwara Tal, Chairman, College of Education, Billiri; Engr. Abdullahi Suleiman Kwami, Chairman, Gombe State Polytechnic, Bajoga; and Hazael S. Chechara, Chairman, Gombe State College of Health Science and Technology, Kaltungo.
Other board members have also been appointed.
The statement added that all appointments take effect from 16th February 2025, noting that Governor Inuwa Yahaya expects the newly appointed chairmen and board members to apply their expertise to enhance the academic and administrative standards of their respective institutions.
Meanwhile, the governor will inaugurate the boards on Thursday, 20th February, at 12 noon at the new Banquet Hall, Government House.
