Fulham are interested in Arsenal’s Cedric Soares, pursuing a permanent deal for the right-back in the January transfer window.
Marco Silva has enjoyed a good start to life back in the Premier League with the Cottagers, sitting ninth in the table after 15 games, but he is keen to improve his squad next month.
Right-back has been a problem position for Fulham, with Kenny Tete struggling with injuries and Kevin Mbabu not making much impact since his summer arrival.
Soares is struggling for game time under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, making just two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
Ben White has largely been used at right-back, with Tomehiro Tomiyasu next in line on the right side of defence, leaving the 31-year-old a fair way down the pecking order.
Sky Sports report that Fulham want to take advantage of the situation and bring him from north to west London in January, hoping for a permanent deal for the Portuguese star.
Soares, who signed for Arsenal from Southampton in 2020, is represented by Kia Joorabchian who helped engineer the deal to take Willian to Craven Cottage over the summer.
According to the report Fulham are also looking to strengthen in central midfield in January as they look to solidify their place in the Premier League.
