Newspot reports that the presiding Judge, Justice Ben Whyte, adjourned the case following the controversy over the representation of the Speaker.

Two counsels appeared for two ‘Speakers’, Martins Amaewhule and Edison Ehie, who are leading different factions of the Assembly.

The counsels also informed the court that they are appearing for two different sets of clerks, a situation which created a rowdy session in the court.

One of the lawyers from Ehie’s camp, who did not want to be named, explained that due to the conflicting legal representation, the judge advised them to sort themselves out and return to court with the rightful person to represent the defendants.
