Nigerian duo, Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze will face each other in a friendly involving their clubs, Napoli and Villarreal at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday, December 17.
Osimhen and Chukwueze are not part of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the global soccer fiesta.
The friendly is arranged to put players of the two clubs in proper shape ahead of league resumption later this month.
The Super Eagles stars are close friends since their days in Nigeria’s U-17 side, Golden Eaglets class of 2015.
Osimhen recently returned to training after he was sidelined for two weeks due to back injury.
Napoli have two other friendlies lined up before the game against Villarreal.
Luciano Spalletti’s side will take on Antalyaspor in a friendly on November 7, before they tackle Premier League side, Crystal Palace four days later.
