Four teams top NWFL table after week two games

Four teams are currently joint leaders of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL, after the completion of the matchday two fixtures.

The teams are Nasarawa Amazons, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens and Abia Angels.

The four teams have picked six points from two matches played in the NWFL.

Adamawa Queens, Royal Queens and newcomers Naija Ratels are the only sides who are yet to gain a point in the league.

The league is cplayed in an abridged format with teams in Group A and Group B.

Three teams from each group will play in the playoff to determine the winner of the league.

The winner will participate in the CAF Champions League qualification phase.

Delta Queens won the NWFL title last season after defeating Bayelsa Queens in the playoff final in Asaba.
