Sofyan Amrabat is keen to move to a bigger club this summer, but there is yet to be a bid for the midfielder, confirms Fiorentina director Daniele Prade.

The Morocco international has been the subject of much speculation this summer, with Manchester United seemingly leading the way to sign him from the Serie A club.

The Red Devils have been joined in the race for the 26-year-old by Saudi Pro League sides, while Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the Moroccan.

Prade knows that Amrabat is keen to take advantage of the interest in him from the likes of United and Liverpool, but there is a sticking point in any possible move.

The Fiorentina chief says that there can be no move for Amrabat unless any of his suitors make a bid for him, which seems fair enough.

‘The situation is clear,’ said Prade on Fiorentina’s YouTube channel. ‘He wants to join a top club and we want to satisfy him, but if we receive no offers, he will stay with us. We don’t have a player like him in the team.’

Manchester United are still trying to offload some players before reinvesting in the squad, so a move for Amrabat remains unlikely until they manage to make at least one more sale.

Liverpool were desperate to fill the void that has been left in the holding midfield role at Anfield, but they have now singed Wataru Endo from Stuttgart so they are in better shape and may no longer be preparing a move for Amrabat.
