FG orders NEMA to distribute relief materials to Kaduna community

Vice President Kashim Shettima has ordered the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) management to mobilize and provide necessary help to the victims of the terrible drone attack on the Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

He issued the order in Kaduna on Thursday during a scheduled visit to express his condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State over the tragic occurrence.

Shettima, visibly moved by what he witnessed in the hospital, directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to ensure that victims receive enough relief materials.

He stated that the Federal Government plans to improve the Tudun Biri village, which lacks basic services such as schools and hospitals.

He added that the government, led by President Bola Tinubu, would soon start the Pullako Initiative, which aims to improve rural inhabitants’ lives while revitalizing regions afflicted by insecurity.

He said, “the President approved the commencement of the Pullako Initiative by next month. The Pullako Initiative is the President’s unique response as a non-kinetic approach to the challenges in the North West.

“The benefiting States are Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, and for the purpose of equity and justice, we deliberately included Niger and Benue States.”

The Vice President commended religious leaders and community elders for standing firm against what he called a conspiracy to politicise the incident in order to inflame sentiments.’
