FCT: Abuja youths shun Area Council Election for football, others (VIDEO)

Youth in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on Saturday shunned the Area Council Election.

Instead, they chose to play football.

At different locations in the FCT, youths were cited playing football and engaging on other activities instead of participating in the voting process.

Newspot sighted youths in places such as Lugbe, Gwarinpa, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Air Port Road, among others, playing football.

The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike had announced restriction of movement in the FCT, and other Area Councils in Abuja.

However, Newspot reports authoritatively that some taxi drivers defied the curfew, especially in the outskirts of the city.
