Emir of Ilorin commiserates with late Justice Ambali’s family

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has commiserated with the family of late Justice AbdulMuttalib Ahmad-Ambali who died on Thursday after a brief illness.

This is contained in a condolence message issued by the Emir’s Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, in Ilorin on Friday.

The Emir expressed sadness over the demise of the jurist and lamented that the people of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara as a whole and Nigeria in general have lost another great icon.

Sulu-Gambari, also the Chairman of Kwara Council of Chiefs, described Ambali as a patriotic citizen of inestimable values and character.

He recalled that the deceased’s numerous contributions to the propagation of Islamic monotheism, through his highly intellectual debates, public lectures and written literatures, as well as regular radio programmes would not be forgotten.

“The radio programme tagged: “Sunnatul Nabbiy” have become veritable references to both younger and yet unborn generations and shall remain evergreen.

“We shall continue to miss his oratory and intellectual guidance to both young and old in the society.

“Even at retirement, he was active and more committed to scholarship,” the emir said.

The first class traditional ruler extended his condolence to the entire Adabiyyatul Kamaliyah Movement worldwide, Grand Khadi and members of the Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal.

“We also extend our condolences to the government and people of Kwara, over the great loss and prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-Janatul Firdaus,” the Emir added. (NAN) www.nannews.ng
