Col Dr Andrew Otunifade Imogu a renowned facial plastic surgeon and a committed member of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion is dead.
He passed away according to family source during a surgery operation at the National Hospital Abuja.
His death has thrown members of the Cathedral Church Of the Advent Life Camp Abuja into great mourning when the Sub Dean Venerable Ephraim Akanya he sent out a notice message on Tuesday 24 February 2026.

It reads: “Beloved in Christ, Lenten greetings to you in the Name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ. This is to on behalf of the Primate, Diocesan & Dean of the Cathedral Most Revd Henry Ndukuba inform the Church that our Dear Brother, Dr Andrew Imogu has gone to be with the Lord. The sad event occurred this morning at the National Hospital, Abuja.
Sad as it is, let us maintain calmness, visit, pray for and encourage his Wife and Children as well as the entire Imogu extended family in Christian way.
We loved our brother Andrew but God loves him more.
The Peace of the Lord be with you and comfort his family & us all with His Holy Spirit. Amen.”.

Dr Imogu apart from being a great physician he was an active member of the Christian Men’s Fellowship, Chairman Christ Morning Star and member of the Guild of Steward.
During his life time he was known for performing reconstructive surgeries that reduces facial wrinkles and improves the facial appearance.
He was also a chief consultants in ear, nose and throat, head and neck surgery at Hi-FI Hospital Abuja.
Members of the Cathedral have been trooping to his residence at Plot 254 Otunba Onabolu Close, Crown Community I, 1st gate, Dawaki extension News Engineering Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja for condolence visits.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
