The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, has directed all personnel and families of soldiers in Borno cantonment to enrol in the National Health Insurance Scheme under the Cantonment Medical Reception Station.

According to him, this would enable personnel and families to enjoy free medical care.

In a statement on Friday, the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu said the COAS gave the directive while responding to an inquiry from the commanders of the Abogo Largema military cantonment in Borno.

The commanders, Lieutenant Colonels Aliyu Garba and Muphtau Arilesere had in their briefs stressed the need for increased capitation for the cantonment MRS since it is serving both units.
