The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) is set to host one of the largest gatherings of youths in Nigeria — and arguably across the globe — as the 5th edition of the Joshua Generation International Youth Conference (JGIYC) kicks off on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Organizers are expecting a turnout of over 40,000 youths for the one-week event, which will run from April 28 to May 3, 2025. This year’s theme, “Ambassadors for Christ,” captures the spirit of the conference as a dynamic platform for raising a new generation of kingdom-minded youths who will represent Christ across all spheres of human influence.
JGIYC is the brainchild of the Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of all Nigeria, Most Revd Henry Ndukuba, whose vision has evolved into a trans-generational kingdom movement. The conference focuses on practical discipleship, skill acquisition, talent discovery, economic empowerment, and mentorship — critical areas that prepare youths for leadership both in the Church and in society.
In a groundbreaking effort to remove barriers to participation, the Church of Nigeria is providing free feeding, free accommodation, and free local transportation for all attendees.
Through the vibrant ministry of JGIYC, the gospel of Jesus Christ is being presented to Generation Z in a practical and transformative manner, producing fruits of righteousness, holiness, and purpose.
At a time when the negative exodus of youths into harmful environments is a pressing concern, the Church of Nigeria is blazing a trail, demonstrating that strategic engagement, practical mentorship, and spiritual empowerment are key to reversing the trend.
The Joshua Generation International Youth Conference is more than an event — it is a call to mobilize and equip young people for the end-time revival, ensuring that they are prepared to be torchbearers for Christ in an increasingly complex world.
