The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero, Thursday, received a delegation from the Central Bank of Nigeria led by the bank’s Deputy Governor, Economic Policy Directorate, Dr Kingsley Obiora.
The NLC announced this in a post on its Facebook page.
The PUNCH reports that the NLC said it would on Wednesday picket the CBN headquarters and state offices in protest against the lingering naira crisis and fuel scarcity in the country.
Ajaero, who disclosed this at a press conference on Wednesday, lamented that people’s hardships over the naira crisis had worsened.
However, when asked if the NLC would call off the strike following the meeting with the CBN officials, Ajaero said, “The strike will hold until the situation in the country normalises.”
