An Abuja-bound train from Kaduna derailed halfway to the nation’s capital, on Sunday.
According to Daily Trust, the train, which had lots of passengers on board, departed Kaduna at 8:05am but derailed at Jere, Kaduna State, about an hour later.
Efforts are, however, being made to repair the train, with about three carriages off the tracks.
Regardless of the fact that it stopped in a mountainous area, security personnel, including soldiers and police officers, were on ground.
