Borno Govt confirms death of Zulum’s spokesman Isa Gusau


The Borno Government has confirmed death of Governor Babagana Zulum’s spokesman Isa Gusau.

A statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof Usman Tar, confirmed that Gusau passed away on Thursday after a prolonged illness at an Indian hospital.

Zulum, in the official statement, paid tribute to Gusau, describing him as a dedicated public servant and a valued member of his team.

Newspot reports that Gusau has been serving as the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy to Zulum since June 2019, previously holding the same position under Senator Kashim Shettima during his tenure as the governor of the state.

“Mallam Isa Gusau was admired by everyone for his commitment to the people of Borno State and his exceptional professionalism in his role.


“He was a tireless advocate for the state, working diligently to communicate the government’s initiatives and policies to the public with clarity and transparency,” Zulum remarked.

The governor mentioned Gusau’s significant contributions, stating that he is dedicated to serving the people of Borno State.

Zulum acknowledged Gusau’s exceptional communication skills, which played a crucial role in fostering understanding and cooperation between the government and the people.

The governor offered prayers for the repose of Gusau’s soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family, praying for strength and solace during this difficult time.
