Tina Lawson, mother of superstar singer Beyoncé, has filed for divorce from Hollywood actor, Richard Lawson.
Tina is parting ways with Lawson after eight years of marriage due to “irreconcilable differences”.
Documents obtained by TMZ revealed that the mother of two filed on Wednesday and asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to her or Richard.
Rumours of their spilt have been making rounds on the Internet after Lawson’s fans noted that Tina was not present throughout the press tour for his movie, “Black Terror”, which was released last year.
She had also removed his last name from her Instagram bio, changing it to her former name, Tina Knowles.
Tina was earlier married to Matthew Knowles, from 1980 to 2011. They both shared two children, Beyoncé and Solange.
She divorced Knowles in 2011 after it was discovered that he had an extra marital affair and fathered a child with his mistress.
