The Benue State Commissioner of Police,CP , Emenari Ifeanyi has deployed Tactical Commanders to troubled areas in the state.
The CP charged the commanders to restrategize and confront security challenges bedeviling communities.
He gave this directive on Saturday during an emergency meeting held at Police Officers Mess, Makurdi, with Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs.
This was contained in a statement on Sunday by the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command,CSP, Catherine Anene.
She said Emenari encouraged the commanders to work with other quasi security outfits within their AOR, emphasizing the need for community policing which is a policing style that puts all hands on deck.
“He reiterates zero tolerance for corruption and all forms of unprofessional conduct that can give the Nigeria Police Force a bad name and promised reward for police officers that are very professional in carrying out their duties,” the statement said.
The CP declares his willingness to collaborate with all security agencies, quasi security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and everyone who is interested in securing the state.
