Marere Hausawa, a community of Damba district in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, has again come under bandits’ attack.
Newspot learnt that the gunmen stormed the area with sophisticated weapons on Thursday, at about 3pm, operating from house to house, whisking away their victims to an unknown location.
According to a resident, Usman Muhammad, many residents who escaped found themselves in the forest, while others escaped to urban areas.
“The security operatives are very much aware that Samba and Merere are the most dangerous area of Gusau local Government Area, yet they cannot confront the bandits”, he lamented.
All efforts to get reaction from the State Police Command spokesman, ASP Yazeed Abubakar proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
