Liverpool midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch, has snubbed Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele as he makes his choice of the player to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
Gravenberch believes that his Liverpool teammate, Mohamed Salah, is best suited for the coveted prize.
He was one of the outstanding players for Liverpool as they claimed the Premier League title this season.
He helped Netherlands to beat Finland 2-0 in the World Cup qualifierson Saturday.
Speaking after the game, the player was asked about his favourite for the Ballon d’Or this year.
He said (via the Touchline on X, “I would give the Ballon d’Or to (Mohamed) Mo Salah.”
Sallah was outstanding for Liverpool in the domestic league in the just concluded season.
He netted 34 goals in 52 games and made 18 assists across all competitions.
The Egyptian attacker was handed the Premier League Golden Boot with 29 goals and was also named the ‘Player of the Season.”
