Babatunde Johnson Kokumo and his wife Afolashade Kokumo have been honoured with chieftaincy titles of Mayegun and Iyalode of Oke-Ona Egba respectively.
The honour was bestowed on them by The Osile Oke-Ona Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso on Saturday 8 February 8 2025.
The ceremony which was held at the Osile’s palace in Sapon, was witnessed by eminent personalities drawn from social and political circles.
Chief Mrs Afolashade Kokumo who retired as a Permanent Secretary in Ogun State is now the fourth Iyalode of the town after the death of Iyalode Alaba Lawson.
The couple read oath allegiance and promised to dedicate and commit themselves to the developmental growth of the Egba while her husband who is the Mayegun of the kingdom was a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police
