Bwacha who addressed a press conference at his campaign office in Jalingo said all litigations over his emergence as the governorship candidate of the party will soon be over.
The governorship hopeful who was reacting to the recent ruling of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja that removed him as the Taraba APC candidate and ordered a fresh primary election within 14 days said he had appealed the ruling.
The case was instituted by the senator representing Taraba Central in the National Assembly, Abubakar Yusuf, challenging Bwacha’s emergence as the governorship candidate of the APC in the state.
Also, last month, the Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo in a suit filed by another governorship aspirant, David Sabo-Kente removed Bwacha as the party’s governorship flagbearer for the forthcoming general election and ordered another primary election to be conducted.
But at a press conference in Jalingo, Bwacha said, “The issue of litigations will soon end. The people of Taraba want to form the APC government and I can assure you that we will not loose.
“I want to inform you that all the cases have been appealed. I want to call on my teeming supporters not to be worried about the decision of the lower court. We have appealed the judgments and we will not loose by the grace of God.
“The national secretariat of our party has intervened in the issue, but the happenings in the party especially the litigations are exacerbated by the activities of the PDP at the state level.
“The national chairman sat with the aggrieved members and my colleagues in the National Assembly too did the same thing, but you know PDP in the state is afraid of the APC hurricane that is coming to take over and are doing everything to stop it, but its too late now because the people of Taraba have seen light,” he said.
On when he would flag-off his campaign, Bwacha said he would not flag-off the campaign until the court cases are over.
“We can’t do flag off now, because it will appear that we are disobeying the orders of the court. We have respect for the rule of law and we will do that when these cases are over.
“We are, however, in touch with our supporters and they are aware of what is happening. I want to assure you that we will win in the end,” he added.
