The session, which will be hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is billed to take place later in the day at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island.

The meeting is coming at a time when President Bola Tinubu is also in Lagos for the Eid-el-Fitr holiday before returning to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

As of March 2026, the APC holds 31 of Nigeria’s 36 governorship seats, further strengthening its political influence across the country.

The Forum is expected to focus on aligning governance priorities at the state level with the policy direction of the federal government, as well as strengthening coordination among APC-controlled states.

The PGF last convened in Lagos in December 2025 at the same venue, where party leaders and stakeholders discussed key national issues affecting governance and development.

The Forum, chaired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, had at the end of that meeting issued a communiqué expressing optimism about Nigeria’s unity, stability, and long-term prosperity.

During that earlier session, members also reviewed the nation’s security situation and commended President Tinubu for improved collaboration among federal, state, and local security structures, as well as the efforts of security agencies and community-based volunteers in tackling insecurity.
