Aftermath of Aircrash: Ibadan Airport Re opens For Flights

The Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State, shut down on Saturday 4 November following private jet accident that occurred on Friday night 3 November 2023 has re- opened for flight activities on Sunday 5 November.

The newspot gathered that the aircraft, which crash-landed close to the runway disrupted flight activities, as accident investigators were immediately deployed to the scene.

officials of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, on Saturday morning, confirmed the accident and immediately went into action by shutting down the airport to all flights.

It took them the whole Saturday to clear the debris took samples of some damaged parts of the aircraft.

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and some of his aides who were onboard the flight came out of the crash unhurt.

The minister however spoke to confirm that he and his aides were on the aircraft but no one suffered any injury.

Monitored by newspot all flights plying Ibadan route namely- Overland, Air peace and Green Africa left on scheduled on Sunday 5 November 2023.

A senior ground crew of Overland simply identified himself as Dave said “Everything is back to normal.
