Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Divine Ikubor known professionally as Rema walked off the stage during his live performance at 2024 Dreamville Festival due to unpleasant sound.
The musical festival which was held at North Carolina, U.S.A from April 6th to 7th, 2024 hosting a large number of people with international acts to perform in the festival.
The Calm Down crooner while performing on stage noticed the unpleasant sound was overwhelming his live performance hurriedly instructed the sound to halt, hence, making him to correct the sound crews that he wasn’t feeling his performance.
He queried why other international artistes performed on the same stage and the sound had no issues but his sound is malfunctioning whilst he is representing Africa.
Due to the consistent sound issues in his performance, the singer bids his fans goodbye and angrily left the stage.
Addressing his fans and the organizers, the singer said,
“There is too many sound issues is messing up my whole performance, I’m seriously not feeling this shit at all, you know it’s too messed up, I’m representing Africa, this is too messed up, you understand me…So the sound cannot be perfect for every artiste that gets on this stage, Africa is in the house and you’re messing shit up, fix it…Too many sound issues my people, I love you, Good night”
