Prof Adeyanju made this known in a statement to Newspot by the agency’s spokesperson, Chidi Okpala, on Monday.

He was speaking on the ground that the Nigerian government’s Galaxy Backbone recently secured the PCI DSS recertification to guide the country’s digital space, especially the financial sector.

Recall that in November 2024, a report by Check Point Software Technologies showed that businesses experienced 3,759 times per week.

In an effort to end the menace of cyber attacks, Adeyanju said the agency would continue to provide digital solutions for both government and corporate sectors.

According to him, the PCI DSS recertification underscores GBB’s dedication to safeguarding sensitive financial data, mitigating cyber threats, and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.

“As an organisation at the forefront of digital transformation and secure connectivity, achieving PCI DSS recertification reflects our unwavering commitment to data security, compliance, and international best practices.

“Our financial services partners and customers can continue to trust GBB to provide secure, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure that meets global regulatory requirements,” he stated.
