A Nigerian engineer based in Ireland, United Kingdom, has narrated how her married-former-classmate shamed for being single.
The woman, known as @stunner_xoxo on Twitter, revealed that she uploaded a beautiful photo of herself on her WhatsApp status. However, shortly after, her former classmate took to her personal WhatsApp status to throw jabs at her.
The classmate, said to be a married mother of two, stated that she won’t be young forever and emphasized the importance of prioritizing marriage and family. She also advised her to make the right decision early in life.
Knowing fully well that the post was directed at her, @stunner_xoxo said she was taken aback because she had been been nothing but supportive of her classmate since her marriage.
She tweeted on Monday, June 19,
“I posted a nice photo of myself on WhatsApp, a class mate of mine who’s married with 2 kids viewed my status and immediately posted “You’re not going to be young forever, a woman’s value is tied to her family and husband. Make the right choice.
“I have been nothing but supportive since she got married and even called to congratulate her when she put to bed, so I don’t know where this is coming from. Lol people are strange indeed.”
