The debate on the subject all comes down to a one million Dollar question left to me alone.
The question is why start or even contemplate a War you have to know you cannot win?
I ask that question because America the most powerful Country in the World had won all of the Battles in the Vietnam War but they still lost the War.
Most Americans by acclamation and consensus now agree today that America had ipso facto lost that War.
The stubborn minority in America who are less than 2 percent of the total population of America still argue that America had won, but they still all suggested that the American victory, if it can be so called, at all, was a Pyrrhic Victory at best.
A Pyrrhic victory is a senseless and meaningless victory where the winner had lost a lot more than the loser, all things considered.
The Winner may have taken fewer casualties and fewer destruction of properties and other collateral damages like Israel and America have done in this War and still be considered the Losers in the War
Why? They can still be considered the Losers if they would have to ultimately be the ones to rebuild for the loser and to later pay for all the damages they have done to Iran pretty much like America and her Western Allies had to rebuild Germany following the end of the Second World War.
That explains why rational people cannot help but ask again? Why start a War you instinctively know you cannot win?
That is why both factions in the War have to determine long before starting the War what is the ultimate goal of going into that War?
Israel and America have told us that Regime Change is one of their two ultimate objectives and and goal. Their second goal is stopping Iran from having a Nuclear Capabilities.
But as things stand today, can the Israelis and the Americans claim they have achieved that goal even though they have bombed Iran into rubbles and they have killed most of Iranian leaders but Iran has refused to surrender and they still have some leverage they can use to irredeemably hurt America by closing down the Strait of Hormuz and by using their superiority in Drone Technology to hurt American Allies in the Region
The resounding answer to that question is that America cannot claim to have won the War when America is now the one begging to de escalate the War and to begin negotiations to sue for peace.
Why? Because the Iranian Regime is going nowhere.
It is still in place as we speak and it is even more united and determined to fight on than they were before the War had started.
The Yorubas in our wisdom have a proverb which better clarifies the point I am making with this article.
Why leave behind a slower companion who is going on a trip with you, if you know you are going to have to wait for such a companion somewhere along the way because both of you are expected to reach your Destination the same time, because nothing can happen until the two of you arrive together at your destination.
I wrote an article widely publicized many years ago on the Facebook in which I argued that the tiny State of Israel to all intent and purposes, has become “America in the Middle East” because Israel is the creation of America and his Western Allies who had fought and won the Second World War which began in 1939 and ended with their victory in 1945.
It was America and her Allies who had decided to carve out from the old Palestine a piece of Land around Jerusalem which was the Biblical Home of the Jews and the Israelis by History .
America and her Allies were therefore duty- bound to defend by all means the new country they have created in the Middle East, come rain or shine. America is not going to desert Israel.
That explains why the tiny State of Israel has forever remained the traditional ally of America and her Allies in the West.
America as leader in that group is resolutely committed to help develop and support Israel to the very end and that is why America is heavily invested in Israel and has made sure that Israel is the only country with Nuclear Power and Armaments in the whole region and that is why they are are never going to allow big and powerful countries in the region like Egypt, Iraq, Iran Turkey and Libya and Syria and filthy-rich Saudi Arabia to ever have the capabilities to produce a Nuclear Weapon they can use to not just threaten Israel but to wipe out Israel out of the surface of the Earth. It is not going to happen.
That is why the ultimate goal of Israel which is synonymous to America in the Middle East would never allow any of the countries in that region to ever level up with Israel to become a Nuclearized Power.
Israel is convinced that one of the ways to achieve that goal is thru Regime Change in any of those countries which try to challenge the supremacy of the tiny state of Israel in that volatile region?
So what makes Iranians believe it is wise for them to fight and wipe out Israel which is joined in the hips with America the most powerful country in the world?
Iran fighting Israel is synonymous to Iran fighting America and her Western Allies and that is why the decision makes no sense in that context, if you see what I see.
It also does not make sense for America to forever think, it can continue to deny a country like Iran a chance to develop nuclear capabilities if Iran can be made to promise never to use such capabilities to threaten the security of the tiny State of Israel.
That in a nutshell is the crux of the matter and only time will tell how much longer America and Israel would be able to sustain their efforts to keep Iran from developing a Nuclear Weapon.
America may not be successful in achieving Regime Change in Iran just like they have woefully failed to achieve the same goal In Afghanistan or Syria or even in Libya even with the death of Moamar Ghadafi.
Iran has a national pride that would not make them to easily want to capitulate to America or Israel public opinion in America would not allow America to commit to an endless War with Iran
Both countries would have no other choice than to come to the negotiating table which is what they should have done rather than going to War, to begin with.
I rest my case.
