Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has averred that his daughter-in-law, May Edochie, has been receiving negative advice to end her marriage to his son, Yul Edochie.
The movie legend stated this in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
This follows report that May has filed for divorce and a restraining order against her husband to prevent him from gaining access to their former matrimonial home.
In the interview, the 76-year-old actor showered praises on May and expressed his deep love and affection for her, stating that he was close to her father.
He also revealed that she is a very brilliant woman and many don’t know she is a computer wizard. He further credited her for the success of her marriage to his son up to this point.
He, however, stated that she has been receiving negative advice from people encouraging her to divorce her husband, especially from women with broken homes.
Sir Pete said in part,
“We just heard Yul suddenly picked a second wife. Mary (May) is a very wonderful woman. The success of that marriage is to Mary’s credit. A lot of people have been advising her wrongly and most of them don’t have good homes.”
