MEDINA — The first batch of 2026 Hajj pilgrims from Oyo State on Tuesday visited historic religious sites in Medina as part of their ongoing spiritual activities in Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims were divided into groups to help them better understand the historical and religious importance of each site.
Places visited included Mount Uhud, Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain and Mazhar.
One of the coordinators, Hammed Adebayo, said the tour aligns with the teachings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, for pilgrims undertaking Hajj.
He noted that pilgrims were encouraged to observe prayers at Masjid Quba as part of the spiritual benefits of the visit.
Adebayo also urged the pilgrims to remain disciplined, make necessary sacrifices and follow the Sunnah throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
