A grassroots politician and House of Representatives aspirant for Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has congratulated the newly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the party’s national convention in Abuja.
In a statement made available to journalists, OmoBarca commended key party leaders, including former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, for their roles in guiding the party through what he described as a successful and peaceful convention.
He described the exercise as a major milestone for the ADC, noting that it reflects growing internal cohesion and a renewed commitment to democratic values within the party.
According to him, the emergence of a new leadership structure signals a fresh direction for the ADC as it prepares for future political contests across the country.
OmoBarca pledged what he described as “unalloyed loyalty” to the new NWC, assuring the leadership of his support and readiness to contribute to the party’s growth at all levels.
“I am fully aligned with the new leadership and ready to contribute my quota to the growth and success of our great party,” he said, adding that the ADC remains a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking change.
Reaffirming his political ambition, he stated that his bid to represent Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives remains on course, describing it as a call to service aimed at improving representation and delivering development to the grassroots.
“My aspiration is rooted in service to the people. I remain committed to contesting under the ADC platform to represent the good people of Ajeromi Ifelodun,” he added.
He also urged the new leadership to remain inclusive, focused, and people-oriented, stressing that Nigerians are increasingly seeking credible political alternatives capable of addressing socio-economic challenges.
The ADC National Convention, which attracted delegates and stakeholders from across the country, is widely seen as a strategic step toward repositioning the party ahead of upcoming political engagements.
Observers say renewed commitments from party members and emerging aspirants could strengthen the ADC’s presence and competitiveness within Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
