Umuahia, Abia State —The Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy and Development (FENRAD) has celebrated its Executive Director, Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor, following his recognition as one of the Top 100 Environmental Sustainability Professionals in Nigeria under the prestigious ECHO HERO 2025 award organized by Environment Africa.
The award honours individuals whose work has significantly contributed to environmental protection, sustainability advocacy, climate action, and community impact across the country. Comrade Nwafor’s recognition reflects his years of consistent environmental advocacy, policy engagement, grassroots mobilization, and commitment to environmental justice.

Under his leadership, FENRAD has emerged as a strong civil society voice championing climate accountability, responsible resource management, environmental protection, and good governance.
