Uyo, Akwa Ibom – Governor Umo Bassey Eno on Wednesday, July 3, 2025, led the July edition of the Akwa Ibom State Government’s Monthly Delivery Advisory Meeting, reiterating his administration’s unwavering resolve to fast-track the implementation and completion of priority projects across the state.
The high-level session, held at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Uyo, drew a cross-section of attendees, including State Executive Council members, Delivery Advisors, political stakeholders, elder statesmen, and representatives across political and professional divides.
In his keynote address, Governor Eno emphasized the strategic role of the monthly sessions in driving governance performance, insisting that “we have no time, and we must move fast without excuses.” He called on MDAs and project delivery teams to align with the state’s vision for accelerated development, urging them to uphold focus, commitment, and transparency.
“We are here to work, because the change we seek for our state begins with us,”
the Governor declared, highlighting the ARISE Agenda’s focus on results-oriented service delivery. He also encouraged Akwa Ibom youths to register on the State Procurement Portal to access job and contract opportunities linked to the administration’s expansive project pipeline.
Twenty-six major projects were reviewed during Day One of the meeting, covering sectors such as health, security, tourism, housing, aviation, and economic infrastructure. Visual and textual briefings were delivered by key ministries and agencies, followed by interactive sessions to address bottlenecks and align timelines.
Key presentations included updates on:
- Itam Industrial Park
- Ibom Convention Centre
- Ibom Hotels rehabilitation (Uyo, Abuja & Lagos)
- Ibom Towers and Ewet Luxury Estate
- Dakkada Oil Palm Project
- Security and Command Centre, Correctional Centre, Police CTU Base
- ARISE Resort and Aviation Village
- Ibom International Hospital, Mother & Child Hospital, Ukanafun and Ibiono General Hospitals
Governor Eno tasked all government arms to treat timelines as non-negotiable, affirming that performance metrics will be closely monitored in line with his administration’s drive for transparency, professionalism, and accountability.

As the meeting continues over the coming days, more technical briefings and evaluations are expected, reflecting the Governor’s firm push for sustainable development through disciplined execution.
