As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world prepare to mark the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Adha, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Muslim faithful.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, Senator Basiru urged Muslims to observe the celebration with moderation, love, and deep reflection. He emphasized the essence of the occasion, which commemorates the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to Allah, as a reminder for all to renew their spiritual commitment and show compassion to others.
“I urge all Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with love, moderation, and reflection. Let us embody the values of kindness, generosity, and compassion that are at the heart of this festival,” Basiru stated.
The APC chieftain also called on the Muslim ummah to use the opportunity of the holy festival to strengthen the bonds of unity, peace, and national solidarity. He noted that the message of Eid goes beyond festivity — it is a call to moral responsibility and collective upliftment.
“May this blessed occasion bring us closer to Allah, strengthen our bonds of unity and solidarity, and inspire us to work towards a brighter future for all,” he added.
Basiru concluded his message by wishing Muslims a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration, praying that their homes be filled with peace, love, and divine blessings.
