The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has enjoined the newly installed Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Akinola Alabi to use his position to attract more developmental projects to Ibadanland.
The traditional ruler made this declaration during Alabi’s installation as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Our correspondent reports that Alabi is currently representing Egbeda/ Ona Ara Federal constituency at the House of Representatives on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC.
Newspot reports that the event was held on Friday at Olubadan palace in Ibadan.
The decoration of Alabi with Akoko leaves was done by the Oluwo of Ibadanland, Chief Abdulwahab Popoola.
He said, “You have been installed as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland today, there are hundreds of Mogajis (family heads) in Ibadanland before your choice.
“Your appointment and installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland is as a result of your meaningful contributions to Ibadanland.
“I want to charge you to continue to attract more developmental projects to Ibadanland. Do your best to bring more federal projects to Ibadanland.”
