Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, stated that while addressing officers and soldiers at the centre, Lt Gen Oluyede emphasised that, as an integral element of his command philosophy, the Nigerian Army under his leadership places a high premium on troops’ training, describing it as a panacea for operational effectiveness and optimisation.

He added that only well-trained personnel would be able to perform optimally when deployed for operations.

The army chief urged the troops to remain focused and dedicated, giving their best during the training and added that they should be prepared to apply their newly acquired skills to make a difference in the field.
